The capital of South Kalimantan is Banjarmasin, which has an airport serving many flights from Jakarta and elsewhere in the archipelago.
Besar (Halau Halau) is the highest point of the Meratus Mountains and is frequently climbed. Kahung, however, is remote and requires a lengthy expedition.
