There are several reports online of hikers having been up to the summit, often mentioning a summit height of 2,930m which is not true. It certainly would appear to be doable in 2 full days if you set out early enough on day one. The starting point is Desa Kejuruan Syiah Utama which appears to be at an elevation of over 1,500m and lies southeast of the centre of Danau Laut Tawar. More info soon….
