Phou Xai Lai Leng is an ultra-prominent peak of the Annamite Range on the Lao–Vietnam border, ranking as one of Southeast Asia’s highest mountains and second-highest in Lao. Despite its elevation and prominence, it remains virtually unclimbed – Wikipedia lists no recorded first ascent, and Peakbagger records no logged attempts. The terrain is dense tropical forest rising steeply along ridgelines and there’s no published trail, infrastructure or recorded route descriptions.
