Bagging It!
There’s a track up from the north. This peak is very close to the Chinese border which is just 2 kilometres to the east. To the south of the peak is Linh Địa Cổ Mẫu Sơn – the Mau Son Ancient Shrine. This seems popular with local tourists and allegedly dates back to the 10th century. And just 2 kilometres west is Đỉnh Phia Pò/ Núi Cha, a lower peak but definitely over 1,400m. This one seemed to be trekked from the south along a very narrow grassy ridge. There also looks to be an approach to the mountain range from the west, with a track up to at least 900 metres. One that requires more research yet already sounds fascinating…
